• Conduct venipuncture and other specimen collections while reassuring patients to minimize anxiety.
• Follow safety protocols for disposing of biohazard materials appropriately.
• Complete requisitions and ensure accurate entry of patient, specimen, and billing information into our computer systems.
• Confirm orders and billing details with clients to maintain accuracy.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and prepare specimens as required by test orders.
• Maintain organized records and documentation of all phlebotomy activities.
• Assist with monthly reporting of statistics and data for performance tracking.
• Perform basic clerical tasks such as filing and electronic data entry.
• Maintain professional appearance in compliance with grooming and dress codes.
• Demonstrate teamwork and uphold a positive work environment.
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow laboratory safety procedures at all times.
• Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of protected health information in all interactions.
